Description
Federal Cardtable
North Shore, Massachusetts or New Hampshire, ca. 1800-1815.
Mahogany, flame-birch veneer panels, rosewood banding.
Excellent condition, no repairs, retaining all original glue blocks, old refinish surface.
Having a serpentine-top with elliptical ends conforming to the front and sides, both treated with flame-birch panels surrounded by banding. The frame is supported by finely turned and carved, reeded legs ending on welled feet.
