Description
This table has been made in two different sizes, please check our other listing for further information. Each item made by Felix Muhrhofer is a handcrafted, one-of-a-kind piece. Muhrhofer is an Austrian designer who primarily works with steel and terrazzo. His pieces, from coffee tables to bar counters, are all made by hand, tested for their qualities, function and aesthetics, and constantly refined, resulting in artistic objects that combine a strong formal sense with the economy of a handcrafted production process. In addition to frames and feet made of corroded steel, aluminium and, more rarely, wood, Muhrhofer has been working with his own terrazzo for over 20 years: a Material that is currently celebrating a veritable Renaissance. With his own stone compositions for tables, counters and interior designs, Muhrhofer is taking the recently rediscovered Material to a new, modern level. Muhrhofer works in his own workshop near Vienna and, in addition to his own creations, also designs commissioned works for renowned interior designers such as Kelly Wearstler or the traditional Viennese house Lobmeyr.
