Restored Rare Early Florence Knoll Model 17 Louvered Maple Desk Signed Madison

$ 3,500
  • Description
    This rare desk was designed in the 1950s by Florence Knoll with a simplistic profile that has proven to be timeless! Of solid maple construction, it features tapered dowel legs and a single pedestal with three large drawers, topped by a neatly trimmed writing surface. The louvered drawers allow the desk to be immediately recognizable as a Florence Knoll design. Our example is signed with an early Knoll label on the interior of the top drawer.

    This desk has been professionally refinished in its original warm golden color. The restoration includes stripping of the old finish. New stain. New satin lacquer top-coat that was burnished with wax by hand. As such, the condition is very good and makes for an exemplary piece of Knoll history.
