-
Description
A rare rosewood version of the Cavaletto or TL2 table designed by the great neo-rationalist designer, Franco Albini. Designed in 1950 for manufacturers Poggi, the Cavaletto, (trestle), functions as both part table, part desk, with its beautifully executed ‘x’ frame supports and two brass tension bars between. The attention to detail in this piece is phenomenal. its solid wood rectangular top has eight sides, all with canted edges, whilst the metal fixings are small and discreet. A sleek and sophisticated piece of mid-century Italian design.
