French 19th Century Bistro Table

Description
An original French brasserie table, circa 1890, with a removable white marble top on a cast iron frame. This classic French bistro table has a few design elements to stand out from the rest! The stone top features beveled edges around both the top and bottom surfaces, geometric details that will reappear in the cyma profile of the base. Impressive curule legs, joined by medallions at the stretcher rod, are still mostly green with patinations to reveal the dark metal underneath. Little scrolled feet (or what remains of them) sit off the floor on trapezoid blocks. A lovely addition to a patio or kitchen. Yellowing and etching of the marble is consistent with age and type of use. Please view the detailed images.
