This classic Empire-style two-toned mahogany console with petticoat mirror, c.1880, is from France and features a black marble top with white inclusions, atop an apron with an ormolu-mounted blind drawer lined in felt and outfitted with nine divided compartments, over a mirrored back and supported by a pair of darker brass-collared columnar legs, resting on block feet joined by a stretcher shelf.
