French 19th Century Louis XV Style Oak Side Table
-
Description
A sweet Louis XV style 19th century oak table de chevet, or bedside table, the dainty scale could be used as a side table in nearly any room around the home. The lightly patinated top surface creates an overhang above an open compartment, pierced on the sides by a little geometric window that would have been used as a handle. Each lower corner of the case is carved with a row of foliate motif before transitioning into thin cabriole legs. This bedside-occasional table has been gently cleaned with a French paste wax to bring back the natural lustre of the wood and is ready to join your interior.
