French 19th Century Vendange Table
-
Description
This beautiful walnut tasting table from 19th century France is a specialized folding Tilt-top table utilized at vineyards and wineries across Europe, providing a place to stop and taste their different vintages. The underside of the table houses the mechanism for bracing the top. Vendange (grape harvest) tables have this tilting ability so they can be stored in the narrow corridors found in wine cellars when not in use. Each leg features a marvelous hand-carved pierced design, adding a lovely artistic touch to the rustic table. This is a great formal or casual dining table, finely constructed to withstand everyday use for years to come. Tilted Dimensions: 45-¾”H x 40-?”W x 21”D. Make sure to view the detailed images for a closer look at this great antique table!
