Description
Dimensions: 28 ¾” H x 59” W x 19 ⅜” D
A lovely console table/server from 19th-century France made with fine craftsmanship. The top is made from two planks of solid walnut and has been kept in good condition. The front is made of burled walnut and showcases a beautiful pattern of swirls across the table’s three drawers, which all open smoothly. The left and right drawers have turned wood knobs while the center drawer has been equipped with a small brass knob below the keyhole. Its key has been lost to time. All four table legs have been turned to create beautiful rings and undulating forms, which visually echo the wavy grain of the burl front. Instances of loss lend character to the piece; the left drawer knob has lost its outer ring, and a small part of the front left foot is missing, likely where there was a knot in the wood. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions. -
