Description
CARVED WALNUT MARBLE-TOP LOW COFFEE TABLE IN THE LOUIS XV TASTE
France, circa 1900
Item # 403KQO18P
A wonderful French coffee table with the most spectacular marble top - this gorgeous fosselized stone top features a scooped edge carved of the solid with an undulating form that follows the curvature of the table. The table is carved in the typical Rococo Revival motif inspired by the originals of a century prior during the Louis XV period - a lightly molded frame with bas-relief carved flowers over cabriole legs that terminate in scrolled toes. The size and scale are impeccable for modern living.
