A French vintage leather-topped mahogany writing desk, designed in the Directoire taste for refined proportions & materials. Two hidden extensions on each side add occasional surface area. The wide, cognac leather surface is worn and outlined in gold tooling around the edge in Greek key pattern which complements the beautiful, toffee-colored striations of the mahogany grain. Five drawers occupy the case, all with working locks, three keys included. Four square legs taper elegantly down to the floor ending in brass sabot feet. At home or in an office, this vintage desk will be a pleasure to work from. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax, ready to join your interior.
