Georges Jouve c1910 - 1964 French ceramic artist white glazed bear paw or Patte d Ours dish. Signed with Jouve cypher. Excellent condition, no ships or restorations. Beautiful crackled glaze. One of the most definitive ceramic artists in france of the 1950’s he produced a wide range of works from simple to complex sculpture. Truly one of the great influencers in France artistic movement and collectable design. He was often sin collaboration with Mathieu Matégot who produced the iron stand this bear paw ceramic sits on.
