Description
This elegant desk, designed by Gianfranco Frattini in 1956 for Bernini, radiates the quiet sophistication of mid-century Italian design. Its rich, polished wood surface exudes warmth and depth, with a natural grain that draws the eye and adds a sense of timeless character.
The desk’s form is both graceful and purposeful. Two subtle drawers at either end seem to float beneath the tabletop, balanced by an open central shelf that adds a feeling of lightness and accessibility. The legs, sculpted with gentle curves and refined angles, lift the desk with a sense of architectural poise, as if it were standing mid-step.
Every detail— from the soft sheen of the wood to the rounded drawer pulls— feels considered and harmonious. It’s a piece that speaks quietly but confidently, embodying the elegance of a bygone era while remaining effortlessly modern. -
