Description
English, Circa 1750
This concertina action car table has all four of its legs carved with a stylised acanthus leaves terminating into scrolls to the left and right of the top of the leaves. Opened up the table reveals a perfectly square playing surface lined with a blue tooled antique linen.
This well drawn table has aged down over the years to a soft and mellow patina, the simplicity of its design and the outstanding colour throughout do really set this table apart as a rare survival of Georgian furniture.
