Gillows: Fine 19th Century Mahogany Occasional Table

Designed for traveling this table is a wonderful example of the Gillows craft. Nicely designed with a 24 inch top, the legs are removable for either storage or transport. In the second half of the 19th century Gillows began to identify each piece with a sequential numbering system, presumably for accounting purposes. This table is stamped to the underside Gillow L1518, an early number in their system and it precisely identifies the piece as having been made in Lancaster in 1873.

A good table of rich color and unquestioned provenance to Gillows.
