An elegant Italian Mid-Century Modern Craftsman console or sofa table in a sublime, organic form by Giovanni Banci. The console is composed of hand hammered, wrought iron that has been hand gilt. The form is delicate, poetic and sensuous and is reflective of nature and natural elements. The piece conveys a sense of calmness and serenity with its delicate, gently meandering form. Giovanni Banci was an Italian sculptor and designer. In addition to several important commissions in Florence, Italy, he designed pieces for Hermes and Maison Jansen. Italian Swiss sculptors, Alberto and Diego Giacometti followed a similar path in designing pieces in iron from a natural, organic perspective.
The base dimensions alone are: 23 W x 9.5 D x 32.5 H. The glass top is not fixed to the base and a narrower, longer or shorter top can be chosen to fit the demands of the space. -
