George III, Mahogany, Hepplewhite Dressing Table, England, 19th C., Refinished
A fine example of a professionally refinished Antique Hepplewhite style dressing table. Butterfly top has inset-hinges with book-matched panels and crossbanding. Opens to reveal an interior with three lidded compartments, two deep open faced compartments, a flip up ratcheted mirror, and a removable tray that covers an additional compartment beneath. Single piece aprons to the sides, cross banding to the face with a brass escutcheon and matching key. Tapered square legs terminate with brass casters. Opens to 54" wide with the mirror extending it's height to 42".
