Italian Art Deco Vellum and Wood Console Table, Italy, circa 1940
-
Description
An Italian Art Deco console table with two upper shelves in vellum supported by a rectangular base in palisander wood with square cut-outs. The central back column and angled base are ebonized. The use of vellum, palisander and ebonized wood creates a stunning contrast highlighting the wonderful geometric forms. A highly stylized piece; so evocative of the glamourous Art Deco era.
