Part of Jacques Jarrige’s celebrated Meanders series, this sculptural dining table exemplifies his poetic approach to form, space, and movement. Crafted in MDF and finished in lacquer, the table features a four-panel folding base joined with exposed hinges—an architectural structure that evokes the fluidity of a screen or a kinetic drawing in space.
The biomorphic tabletop echoes the sinuous lines of the base, with soft curves and asymmetrical edges that lend the piece an organic, animated presence. Like a continuous gesture rendered in three dimensions, the composition invites the eye to travel across its surface, creating a dynamic interplay between solidity and lightness, gesture and structure.
As with much of Jarrige’s work, this table is not only a functional object but a sculptural centerpiece—imbued with rhythm, tension, and an intuitive sense of balance. It can be customized in both size and finish to suit a variety of interiors, from minimal to expressive.
This table was featured in the 2024 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach, in a room designed by Nicole Mizrahi.
