In the 1930s, Jindrich Halabala - a leading light in the Bauhaus movement out of the Czech Republic - worked on designs for German-American architect and Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius - including this modernist coffee or cocktail table in classic dark-stained bentwood with a circular glass top.
