Description
English, Circa 1770
A fine George III mahogany and marquetry pembroke table in the manner of John Cobb, the rectangular twin flap top inlaid with sprays of flowers and leaves, above a single frieze drawer with its original handle, the table raised on four square and chamfered legs ending in leather castors.
Similar marquetry flowers can be found on a bonheur-du-jour in Dunham Massey, Cheshire which has also been attributed to John Cobb, court cabinet- maker.
