John Dickinson Unique Crate Coffee Table from the Firehouse, San Francisco, 1970
The only known example from the series in a rectangular form—other versions were executed as even cubes.
Materials: waxed Pine Wood
Dimensions: 18× 41.50 × 18 in (H × W × D)
A rare and exceptional example of John Dickinson’s early work, this unique crate-form coffee table was designed for Lawrence Maloney, Dickinson’s longtime partner, as part of the furnishings for their shared firehouse residence in San Francisco.
