John Widdicomb Modernist Burl Wood Extension Table, Circa 1970s
-
Description
A Mid-Century Modern burled olive or elm wood Parsons extension dining table By John Widdicomb, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, Circa 1970s, metal tag on verso. This wonderful and extremely practical table has the option to be a console table that adapts to an extremely long dinning table. A slight difference in color can be seen between the table in its smallest setting and the adding of the leaves. This is because most of the time the table has been in the smallest setting and has naturally color faded. It is well illustrated in the photos and the table has a wonderful overall color.
The smallest measurement when it is essentially a console - 29 1/2in. high 19 1/4in. - deep 40in.- wide.
It has 4 x 20in. leaves.
Measurements with 1 leaf in. - 40in deep x 39 1/4in-wide - no support legs needed
Measurements with 2 leaves in. - 40in deep x 59 1/4 in-wide - Additional support legs at this length
