T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, Widdicomb, American Mid-Century Modern, Saber Leg Dining Table, Walnut, 1956
Rare example of a 'Saber Tooth' dining table designed by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb and produced in the United States dated 1956. Original makers label in-tact on the underside. The grain on the table top is spectacular; the top is supported by 6 free form organic curved walnut legs. This work has three insertable 14 inch table leaves. When all the leaves are inserted the table extends to approximately 119.5 inches long. The entire table has been fully refinished.
