This stunning Art Deco Starburst Design Bookmatched Walnut Occasional Table by Jules Leleu originates from France, Circa 1930. A round topped beautifully proportioned occasional table featuring a book-matched starburst motif lined with a highly sophisticated border also in book-matched walnut with a subtle rounded surface underneath the table's edge, leading to the central cylindrical pillar. The central cylinder of the table features, gorgeous machine, age detailing, then leading to a tiered plinth support from which four beautifully sculptural and tapered supports extend with polished nickel rectilinear elements separating them from the floor. This highly elegant occasional table utilizes the highest quality materials within a thoughtful and beautiful proportioned design, characteristic of the Art Deco era, and well utilized in the work of Jules Leleu, an author of Art Deco design and well known for his clean minimal designs utilizing rare and opulent materials. This piece will style beautifully in a wide array of interiors in settings from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Spaces. In mint restored condition.
