Description
The 'Delfi' dining table, crafted entirely from pristine white marble, showcases its natural veining and impeccable beauty. The table features a striking rectangular top supported by two sculptural base elements, inspired by the contours of ancient Roman architecture. Its clean lines and bold proportions create a perfect harmony between classic elegance and modernist restraint, making it a standout piece in any interior.
This extraordinary table is the result of a collaboration between two of the most influential figures in 20th-century design. Carlo Scarpa, celebrated for his mastery of intricate detailing and bold use of materials, reimagined this piece with the refined elegance that defined his work. Scarpa’s prolific career included the design of 58 buildings and numerous furniture pieces, earning him a reputation as a visionary architect and designer. Marcel Breuer, a pivotal figure of the Bauhaus movement, is renowned for iconic creations like the Wassily and Cesca chairs, as well as architectural landmarks such as the UNESCO Headquarters built in 1951. Together, their combined vision has imbued the Delfi table with both historical depth and artistic refinement, making it a timeless masterpiece that bridges classical and modern design. - More Information
