Description
The W36 Wepman Table is a unique handcrafted piece made from English Walnut, featuring wide sapwood, a free-edge design, and striking figured grain. Natural cracks in the wood are stabilized with two East Indian Rosewood butterflies, blending functionality with artistry. This table originates from a carefully selected part of the shed and is available for finishing to suit your style. A perfect combination of natural beauty and skilled craftsmanship. Mira Nakashima, born in 1942, is a renowned American architect and furniture designer. She is the daughter of George Nakashima, a legendary woodworker. After earning her degrees in architecture from Harvard University and Waseda University, she joined her father's workshop in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Following his death in 1990, Mira became the head of George Nakashima Woodworkers. Under her leadership, the workshop continues to craft handmade, custom furniture, preserving her father’s legacy while introducing her own designs. Mira’s work highlights the natural beauty of wood and emphasizes craftsmanship and material honesty.
