Neoclassical Empire style ormolu and lapis lazuli table with patinated bronze mounts
French, 20th Century
Height 74cm, diameter 100cm
Finely wrought in the French Neoclassical Empire style, this centre table features a lustrous blue lapis lazuli circular top with gilt bronze border. The table is supported by a square base with concave sides, similarly decorated with a gilt bronze border. The centre of the base features a lapis lazuli and ormolu urn. From the base springs four gilt bronze legs, scrolled at the top and decorated with a patinated bronze winged figure, then fluted down towards a paw foot. - More Information
