Crafted in the 1960s by São Paulo–based Novo Rumo, this round coffee table features a beautifully bent rosewood (jacarandá) base that showcases the expressive grain and warm tonal variation of the wood. Expertly refinished, the structure is in excellent condition. A sleek glass top, secured by chromed metal accents, provides a crisp modern contrast while allowing unobstructed views of the sculptural wood frame.

Designer Bio:
Founded in São Paulo by Francesco Scapinelli, brother of noted designer Giuseppe Scapinelli, Studio Novo Rumo became a key name in mid-century Brazilian furniture. The studio produced elegant, finely crafted pieces in Bahia Jacarandá, combining industrial precision with artisanal quality.

Many former L’Atelier artisans joined Novo Rumo, resulting in stylistic similarities between the two workshops. Known for its refined proportions and modern sophistication, Novo Rumo remains recognized for advancing Brazil’s postwar design identity and craftsmanship.
