Description
Original French Macassar Art Deco Partners Desk
Item #2132
Original French Art Deco desk in spectacular book-matched Macassar wood. These high quality streamline style classic desks do not come around often. This one has everything :great drawers, original keys, original brass drawer pulls, storage and rounded edges (kind of bull nose edge style) one side or front area perfect for a small display or bookshelf. The quality of the wood is beyond comparison .It has no flaws, the color is rich deep brown (with hints of rosewood and black. This is the kind of color and grain you only find on the best French Art Deco pieces made during that golden era of 1925-1930.
This comes from what some people call the “high point” of the Art Deco period.
Last time I had a macassar partner’s desk like this was 15 years ago and not nearly the quality of this piece. The size is perfect, very useful and of course can be used like any professional office desk. Will certainly set the tone for your most important discussions and negotiations.
