Description
This elegant Italian round dining table, attributed to Osvaldo Borsani, and produced in the late twentieth century, exemplifies the refined balance between clean modern lines and exceptional craftsmanship that characterizes Italian furniture design.
The circular top is beautifully veneered in teak, showcasing a rich and expressive grain pattern that creates a warm and dynamic surface. The natural variations of the wood are enhanced by a subtle inlaid border that gracefully frames the top and accentuates its generous proportions. Its particularly large dimensions make this table a very rare find, especially in a round configuration, while providing exceptional conviviality and a remarkable visual presence.
The table stands on a striking central pedestal composed of finely fluted vertical elements resting on a circular plinth base. Finished in a dark tone, the sculptural base creates a sophisticated contrast with the warmth of the teak and lends the piece a strong architectural presence, while allowing comfortable seating all around.
With its understated elegance, exceptional materials, and timeless silhouette, this dining table is equally suited to contemporary interiors and carefully curated vintage settings. A versatile and highly decorative piece that embodies the enduring appeal of Italian modern design and, thanks to its unusual proportions and refined formal language, represents a particularly desirable piece for collectors and enthusiasts of twentieth-century Italian design.
