Description
A rare floating console shelf and mirror (No6652) by Osvaldo Borsani designed for Casa Ramella Levis 1946
Executed in gilded wood, marble and mirror a seamless hand carved looped coil appears to hold a floating marble top, the looped form is cleverly repeated in the design of the mirror frame. The mirror itself is raised above a cream gesso ground with a soft triangular relief pattern running around the circumference.

To the mirror frame there are few minor cracquelures and minor losses of gilding
On the marble top there are traces of old restoration .
