Pace Collection Cocktail Table in Brushed Bronze by Leon Rosen
-
Description
With the goal of creating pieces of high-design that differed from contemporaries such as Knoll and Herman Miller, Irving & Leon Rosen founded the Pace Collection in 1960. They looked to the simplicity of materials to be the voice of their collection, all expertly fabricated and finished. Polished metals and high gloss exotic veneers were commonplace and to this day remain unapologetically Pace.
A gorgeous 3/4” thick piece of glass is gracefully rounded at each corner, accentuating the columnar legs while also providing soft-edge safety. This large piece of glass is supported by four steel legs which are paired with solid steel caps, these pieces tether together to house the glass as if hovering in mid-air. The Object Refinery team chose to restore each leg by stripping and plating them in a handsome brushed bronze finish. The combination of brushed bronze and sleek glass could not be more perfect.
We’ve restored this piece however minor wear consistent with age and history may still exist. The original glass shows light signs of wear and the original legs, while newly refinished, show slight signs of wear from history. The result is a preserved piece of timeless design set to live in for at least another lifetime. -

Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
