Pair of Swedish Painted Demi-Lune Consoles, ca. 1880

A striking pair of Swedish demi-lune consoles from circa 1880, painted in a deep, dramatic tone that lends a sense of gravity and sophistication to their neoclassical form. Each console is designed with a semi-circular top supported by four elegant tapered legs, their fronts carved with fluting and crowned with stylized square rosettes.
