This is a wonderful pair of mid-century carved wood consoles in the style of Serge Roche. The tropical leaves that form the bases of these consoles are beautifully elaborated in an Art Deco style. The shaped scolloped tops have been refinished; the bases retain their original waxed surface.
The tropical foliage makes the consoles the perfect design element for a Hawaiian, Florida or any Southern beach home. The form of the consoles allows them to be stunning side table for multiple more sophisticated design themes from bedside tables to entry and dining room consoles. The visual reference to Serge Roche, without being copies of his consoles showcases a unique creativity.
