Description
This is an outstanding pair of Large Gilt Bronze Girandoles in the style of Maison Bagues that date to the late 19th/early 20th century. The harp-form gilt bronze frames are in very good original condition with normal anticipated patina and wear to gilding. The Girandoles are detailed in a multitude of cut crystal double flowers with both large and medium crystal drops. The majority of the drops and crystal flowers are original with a very few replacements. The Girandoles are electrified with an outside wire which we have had professionally inspected; the candle sockets are newly replaced. These are exceptional Girandoles and are ready for their new home--they would contrast beautifully with a modern abstract painting.
