Offered is a stunning Italian mid-century modern console on tapered legs with 4 drawers and a beautiful marble top designed by Paolo Buffa in the 1960's.
This free standing Italian modern Buffa console table features a classic design with storage!
Italian modern designer Paolo Buffa left an indelible mark on the world of interior and furniture design during the mid-20th century. Born in 1903 in Milan, Mr. Buffa’s career spanned several decades, and his innovative and elegant creations continue to influence contemporary design to this day. Mr. Buffa’s work is characterized by a unique blend of traditional Italian craftsmanship and modernist aesthetics, making him a pioneer of the Italian modern design movement.
Paolo Buffa (1903 – 1970) was an Italian architect and furniture designer known for his elegant and sophisticated designs. After graduating from the Politecnico di Milano in the late 1920s, Buffa briefly worked for architect Gio Ponti before branching out on his own.
The designs of Paolo Buffa seamlessly combined functionality with artistic expression. Buffa's designs drew inspiration from a variety of sources, including Neoclassicism, Art Deco, and the Modernist movements, resulting in timelss design. His furniture pieces often featured refined lines, luxurious materials, and exquisite detailing, showcasing his commitment to quality craftsmanship. -
