Paul Evans 1969 Stalagmite Signed Dining Table
-
Description
Stunning early example of the Paul Evans Model 102 dining table, signed “PE69” on the lower portion of the base. This piece is in extraordinary, original condition, showing beautifully in a deep bronze tone. Unlike many examples that have required repair due to the delicate bronze–resin stalagmite design over steel, this base is free of chips, breaks, or restorations.
The table retains its original 29 x 48 x 96 x 3/4 inch glass top, which remains in very good condition with only light scratches and minor edge chips commensurate with its 48 years of age. Designed by the Paul Evans Studio in New Hope, Pennsylvania for Directional, Inc. in 1969, Model 102 tables have become increasingly scarce—fine, untouched examples like this are now particularly hard to find. -
