Description
Designed by architect Peter Kraft in the 1960s, this bar cart reflects the measured functionalism characteristic of mid-century architectural design. The piece is constructed in solid hardwood, articulated through a clear rectilinear frame and three-tier shelving structure that emphasizes proportion and utility.
The upper tray shelf features a raised perimeter with a gently curved handle element, while the two lower shelves provide generous storage. The upper and middle shelves are adjustable, allowing for flexible configuration depending on use. The cart is mounted on its original casters, enabling easy movement while preserving the integrity of the original hardware.
The wood has been carefully restored to reveal the natural warmth and grain of the hardwood while maintaining the character of age. The original wheels remain untouched, contributing to the cart’s authentic patina and historical presence.
A manufacturer’s seal is discreetly located beneath the lower shelf, confirming the piece’s origin and period. -
