Description
Unique “Chinese Dance” Scroll Coffee Table in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with stunning hand-painted jewel tone enamels in blue and green with orange, red, gold and copper leaf highlights by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (Signed “Philip + Kelvin LaVerne” on top.) This table was bent into shape by hand and is a tour-de-force of design. It is truly magnificent. This motif was also called “Marriage Whirl”.

ALCHEMY: THE ART OF PHILIP AND KELVIN LAVERNE written by Evan Lobel with Kelvin LaVerne, published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2024, this table is shown in an original ad on page 67 in the section titled Historical Civilization Series .
