Description
Italian artist, designer, and decorator Piero Fornasetti (1913–1988) is celebrated for creating one of the most distinctive visual languages in 20th-century design -transformed furniture and everyday objects into poetic, dreamlike canvases. This square coffee table is made from a printed silk scarf pattern (soli self-portrait joking series) into methacrylate (acrylic) sheet - over a blacked metal arched base. A great example of Fornasetti's classical symbolism and visual wit. Produced in Milan, Italy 1990s. Signed.
