Description
- A true collector’s item, this vintage coffee table was designed by Piero Fornasetti in his Milanese workshop in the mid-twentieth century.
- Born out of the post-war artistic movement of the 1940’s, Fornasetti’s designs are synonymous with fantasy, whimsy, the magic of the natural world, and creative flair. Or, as Piero phrased it, “practical madness.” To this day, each Fornasetti object is made by hand in Italy by expert craftsmen, honoring a generation-spanning commitment to this distinct art that spans furniture, porcelain, lighting, and other decorative accessories.
- No longer in production, this rare 'Farfalle' coffee table features a colorful swarm of hand-painted butterflies atop its surface. It is a beautiful example of the heart of Fornasetti’s designs, representing beauty and creativity in the service of utility.
- A fantastic conversation piece, a vision to contemplate, and an object to be used and enjoyed every day.
- This table is in very good vintage condition and features newly ebonized legs. There is minor wear to its surface, consistent with age and use; this does not detract from its inherent beauty. Please see our detailed photos. -
