Description
Extraordinary and rare demi-lune desk featuring top with molded edge and verde antico marble insert resting above a central fluted drawer flanked by a pair of doors, each with bead banding and inlaid with elm root and mahogany marquetry. Left door enclosing 3 drawers, right one a single shelf; doors and drawer fitted with (later) round brass escutcheons. The whole raised on 8 fluted legs ending in ball feet below a corresponding decorative reed edge and frontal curved skirts. Three keys. In mahogany.
