Custom French Mid-Century Modern Neoclassical Iron & Stone Console, Raymon Subes
-
Description
An Elegant, Large, Custom French Modern Neoclassical Console in Hand Hammered Wrought Iron with an Inlaid Stone Top, in the style of French Master Ironworker and Designer, Raymond Subes. The console table embraces dramatic, classic French styling with its two cross braced front panels set into symmetrical X forms. Each is intricately brazed and welded to the supporting side leg structures allowing full transparency of its architectural structure. The console is braced and welded again at the bottom and the feet are splayed outward. Overall, this is a work of refined craftsmanship and design engineering. The piece has a dynamic rhythmic harmony that is rare and un-matched. Finally, the stone is set into the console top in a seem-less manner creating an effortless and balanced work of art.
