Description
Regency period painted and parcel gilt octagonal table on tripod base featuring lion paw form. Based on a design by George and Richard Gillow of Oxford St. A similar example a similar was know to have been made by Gillow in 1803 for Stephen Tempest of Broughton Hall, North Yorkshire (Reference: Gillow of Lancaster and London, by Susan E. Stuart, p 120 plate 670).

In the Style of: Gillows of Lancaster & London Origin: England Period: 19th Century Materials: Painted, giltwood. Condition: Very good. Probably was originally a face screen, later adapted into a table. Creation Date: Circa 1820. Styles / Movements: Regency, Traditional Incollect Reference #: 200097 -
