Description
Stunning Live Edge Coffee Table in Solid Baltic Pine Europe 1960s
This stunning live edge coffee table was made in the middle of the 20th century from a single slab of old-growth pine, cut from the lower trunk. The live edge has been left intact, preserving the natural contour of the wood. The surface carries a warm, honey colored patina. The design and shape of the table top relies entirely on the character of the material itself.
Carried by three wonderfully sculptural carved wooden legs, creating a visually very interesting table with clear hints to the work of master wood worker George Nakashima.
A dynamic and natural table of high elegance, making it a rare and unique piece of mid 20th century artisanal furniture design.
