Dimensions: 30 ¼” H x 34 ⅝” W x 34 ⅞” D

A magnificent tilt-top table from Sweden, mid-late 19th century. The square top features a dazzling patchwork of burled veneer in an overlapping collaged effect of shifting grain directions that beautifully contrasts with the simplicity of the baluster column on tripod feet. Note that at some point in time the top was fixed in the flat position and no longer tilts upright. Today, the scale of this unique table would be perfect for a breakfast room or informal dining space to eat or play games, but could also serve as a center table. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to maintain the gorgeous lustre of the wood. We believe this item to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
