Pair of Biedermeier Style Burl Yewood and Bronze Mounted Pillars
-
Description
Presenting a gorgeous Pair of Biedermeier Style Burl Yewood and bronze-mounted pillars.
Probably 20th century and possibly made by the high-end manufacturer, Theodore Alexander of NY and S. Carolina.
Made of stunning burl yewood with a glorious patina.
Each pillar or Jardiniere, has acanthus shaped cast bronze mounts beneath the top and at the base of the central column. These add significant weight to the pieces to help keep them steady as well as looking beautiful.
Each sits on 4 bun feet.
Most definitely n the Biedermeier Style.
These pieces would look great displaying marble busts!
High.. High quality pieces! -
