Description
This striking cocktail table by Tinatin Kilaberidze merges sculptural clarity with refined elegance. A bold yet graceful oval top in deep black lacquer rests delicately on four large, perfectly rounded spheres finished in a luminous gold lacquer. The interplay between the table’s flat, elongated surface and its spherical supports creates a subtle tension—balancing weight and lightness, geometry and gesture.
Minimal in its vocabulary yet rich in presence, the piece reveals Kilaberidze’s keen eye for proportion and composition. The gleaming black surface reflects light softly, amplifying the table’s fluid contours while maintaining a sense of quiet restraint. Beneath, the oversized spheres act as both support and sculpture—recalling celestial bodies or architectural forms, grounding the table in a kind of playful monumentality.
Elegant and unexpected, this table is both functional and expressive—a confident, minimalist statement that commands attention while harmonizing easily with a variety of interiors. It is a testament to Kilaberidze’s ability to distill form down to its most essential elements, while still imbuing the work with warmth, sophistication, and a touch of wit.
Exquisite in its proportions and meticulous in execution, this table is a singular example of Kilaberidze’s refined and intuitive design language. -
