Description
Most unusual, elegant and very fine Regency period mahogany sofa table with carved reeding around top edge and hinged flaps, two removable leaves in center top revealing leather backgammon board in the well. The frieze has carved diamond-shaped molding and reeding, double ring-turned supports raised on reeded splayed legs with brass paw casters connected by ring-turned and beehive carved stretcher. Because of the two leaves and two flaps, the table can be used in eight different size positions.
